Edison Lithographic & Printing Corp. of North Bergen, N.J., one of the nation’s leading wide-format offset lithographers, recently has acquired a new Durst Rho 900 Large-Format UV Inkjet Printer as part of its larger plan to expand into digital UV inkjet printing. Installation of the unit is to be completed before the end of the year.
Throughout its 50 year history in printing, Edison Litho has always worked hard to maintain a competitive edge by staying at the forefront of a continually changing industry.
According to Shelly Tocci, Director of Sales at Edison Litho, “Savvy retailers and manufacturers know that the time to start getting ready for those winter holiday campaigns is coming up.”
In the May 2011 issue of Printing Impressions, the magazine reprints an insightful blog posting from a reader. She writes, “As a customer, when I get behind the eight ball on a high priority project it’s all-consuming. I can feel the stress building like the heat on a mid-summer Miami morning, and I dial the number of my go-to print provider. The exact words I want to hear from a service provider at such a time are simply, ‘No problem.’”
Watching the precision arms of Edison Litho’s new Brausse NK 1600XR Autoplaten Die Cutter-Creaser in motion is like watching a master chef slice and dice ordinary raw foods into a culinary masterpiece. It’s almost hypnotic watching the raw printed paper be fed through the machine and in moments be cut and creased into finished products.
Over the last fifty years, Edison Litho has led the field in wide format litho printing. Today, Edison continues to operate from its 75,000 square foot headquarters in North Bergen, New Jersey. However, the company continues to branch out into new markets, servicing local and national customers throughout the United States.
For decades, Edison Litho has done its part to protect the environment by conscientiously recycling make-ready sheets and metal printing plates. But never a company to rest on its laurels, Edison Litho has now received certification from the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and the Sustainable Forest Initiative (SFI).
