HistoryEdison Litho Celebrates Over 50 Years in Business1958Isidore Gross opens a small printing plant on West 24th Street in Manhattan. 1989 Edison Litho moves from old 12,000 sq. ft. facility to new 60,000 sq. ft. in North Bergen, New Jersey. 1998 Edison goes digital with the new computerized Image Setter. 2000 Direct-to-plate printing begins with advanced CTP Creo Spectrum Proofsetter and VLF Trendsetter. 2002 Edison expands to 80,000 sq. ft. and adds in-house bindery to streamline the job process for clients. 2005 Addition of cutting-edge, full -size web press enables clients to run large quantity / small format jobs more quickly. Edison adds Magnus Platesetter and the KBA Rapida 205, printing 59.5” x 81” sheets – the most advanced 6 color press in the world. 2007 Edison adds KBA Rapida 162 and Goodstrong Dual Precision Sheeter. 2008 Addition of a second KBA 205 makes Edison Litho the only printing plant in the United States with three operational KBA presses. The new press enables Edison to print on paper, board, plastic, foil, etc. 2010 Edison celebrates over 50 years in business as the leader in wide format litho printing. 2011 Edison Litho appears on cover of Printing Impressions - the leading trade publication for the printing indusry. |
